Test & Tagging Electrical Safety
What is test & Tagging?
Test and Tagging is the compulsory process of testing portable electrical appliances, extension leads and power boards at regular intervals, to ensure safe operation and prevent electrical shock or electrocution. Test and Tagging intervals may vary between 6 Months and 5 Years.
Why should my business Test & Tag?
The act of test and tagging is specified by Australian Standard 3760 and is required by Victorian Occupational Health & Safety Laws. Many insurance companies will now also require you to test and tag your business for compliance with your policy. You are required by the above standard and OHS Regulations to regularly test and tag.
